Meet The Teachers

Claire Davidson – Course Director

Claire Davidson is a fully qualified Senior Yoga Teacher with Seasonal Yoga, specialising in Prenatal, Postnatal, and Mum & Baby Yoga. She has been practising yoga for over 20 years and teaching since 2007, and is passionate about how yoga transforms both body and mind.

Her own journey into pregnancy yoga began while expecting her daughter during her 200-hour Teacher Training. At that time, prenatal yoga classes were rare, and she experienced first-hand how challenging it was to continue a regular practice while heavily pregnant. This inspired her to undertake specialist training in Pre and Postnatal Yoga and Hypnobirthing, so she could support other women more fully during pregnancy, birth, and early motherhood.

Since 2011, Claire has taught countless women through pregnancy and postpartum, creating nurturing spaces that combine movement, breathwork, relaxation, and community. Based on the south side of Glasgow, she currently teaches weekly classes, runs workshops, and now shares her experience as a Course Director for the Nurture Pregnancy & Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training. Her teaching style is compassionate, empowering, and rooted in lived experience — ensuring that teachers who train with her feel confident, knowledgeable, and inspired to support women at this life-changing time.

About Caroline Carey – Course Director

Caroline Carey is a mother of four with over 30 years of experience in the fitness and wellbeing industry. She completed her first ante and postnatal training in 1992 while pregnant with her first child and has since supported hundreds of women through pregnancy, birth, and beyond.

Caroline spent 15 years as a Course Director for YMCA Fit, the UK’s leading training provider for fitness professionals, where she specialised in pregnancy and postnatal training for studio and gym instructors. Alongside teaching, she has trained fitness professionals and midwives in aqua natal and pregnancy exercise, as well as delivering CPD days for midwives, physiotherapists, health visitors, and other caregivers.

After completing her yoga teacher training, Caroline went on to gain her Pregnancy Yoga qualification, blending her extensive fitness expertise with a compassionate yoga approach. She has also worked closely with community midwives to promote safe and effective pre and postnatal exercise as a way to ease common pregnancy-related ailments.

Pauline Fairley - Midwife, Yoga Therapist & Wellness Practitioner

Pauline’s journey into teaching and healing has been shaped by a lifelong commitment to caring for others. She began her career as a nurse and midwife, working both within the NHS and internationally in Hong Kong. These experiences deepened her appreciation for the strength and resilience of women through all stages of life. She later specialised in neonatal intensive care, offering compassionate and skilled support during some of the most delicate and transformative beginnings.

Today, Pauline brings that same depth of care into her work as a yoga teacher, yoga therapist, and wellness practitioner. She is honoured to be part of the Pregnancy and Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training, where she shares her midwifery knowledge and expertise, guiding trainee teachers to understand the anatomical and physical aspects of pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal journey.

Alongside teaching, Pauline runs her own holistic therapy practice, offering a unique blend of yoga therapy, massage, cupping, facials, and energy treatments. Her approach bridges clinical insight with the healing arts of movement, touch, and energy work. Every session she delivers is thoughtfully designed to support the body, mind, and spirit to return to balance and vitality.

At the heart of her work is a profound belief in wholeness, that each individual has the innate capacity to heal when supported with knowledge, compassion, and care. Pauline’s presence on the course offers a rich and grounded perspective, inspiring confidence and compassion in those she teaches.
