Self-Care Isn’t “Me First” — It’s “Me Too”

As the wise words of L.R. Knost remind us:

“Taking care of myself doesn’t mean ‘me first.’ It means ‘me too.’”

In a world that often asks us to give, perform, and achieve — especially as women, mothers, teachers, carers — it’s easy to forget that we belong on our own list.

But when you fill your own cup — even just a little — something powerful happens:

  • You soften.
  • You shine.
  • You have more presence, patience, and love to give… including to yourself.

Self-care doesn’t need to be grand. It just needs to be realIntentionalYours.

What Does “Me Too” Look Like for You?

What does “me too” look like in your life right now?
It might be:

✨ Five slow breaths before getting out of bed
✨ Saying no to something that drains you
✨ Moving your body in a way that feels like love
✨ Choosing rest without guilt
✨ Booking a session, a class, or a day — just for you

You Are Not Selfish — You’re Human

We live in a culture that glorifies overworking and self-sacrifice. But you don’t have to give everything away to be enough. You are already enough — even when you pause. Even when you say no. Even when you rest.

You’re not behind. You’re allowed to breathe.
You belong in your own life.

This May (and always), may you remember:
You are worthy of care.
You don’t have to earn your rest.
